From Friday 4 December 2026 until Sunday 3 January 2027, Winter in Antwerp once again transforms the city centre into a magical winter wonderland. A Christmas market packed with variety, an ice rink with winter bar, the JOE X‑mas House, thousands of twinkling lights and of course the traditional Christmas trees and nativity scene make this a must‑visit event for young and old.

From Friday 4 December 2026 to Sunday 3 January 2027, you can run a stall as a market vendor on the Christmas Market in the historic centre.

On Thursday 31 December 2026, we will welcome the new year with an exciting firework. On Sunday 3 January 2027, we will end the Winter in Antwerp with a welcoming New Year's drink, at which the City will issue tokens to its residents to treat them to a bite to eat or a drink.
Last year, Winter in Antwerp welcomed over 1.5 million visitors to the city, making it the largest Christmas Market in Flanders. All the more reason to apply!
In the historic centre, the City will provide wooden chalets with a sales hatch, a door and heating. For Food & Beverages, there is also a separate storage area. Running water and electricity are included.
This category is all about craftsmanship, quality and flavour. You prepare dishes with attention to taste, presentation and experience. Most products are handcrafted and prepared on site, with minimal industrial processing.
Stalls in the Gastronomic Experience category will be located on the Grote Markt, Groenplaats and Suikerrui.
Rates and conditions depend on the location and size of the stall and can be found in the additional terms and conditions.
Selling gifts, fashion items, packaged foods or local products? Then a retail stand is for you. Stands are divided into several subcategories, listed in the additional terms and conditions.
Are you a start‑up, a Belgian creative entrepreneur selling handmade products or a non profit organization? Can’t commit to four weeks? Good news! Short‑term rental options are available for start‑ups, charities and locally handmade products.

Merchandise stalls will be located on the Grote Markt, Handschoenmarkt, Groenplaats and Suikerrui. The rates, depending on which square, the size of the stall, and the conditions can be found in the additional terms and conditions.
A Food & Beverages stall will be assigned via online public bidding under supervision from a court bailiff. The highest bidder will be awarded the stall. The starting prices and bidding steps per subcategory can be found in the additional terms and conditions.
